The truth about Doublelist
Alright, so I’ve been using DoubleList for a while now, and honestly, it’s a mixed bag. If you’re like me, just a regular guy looking to meet women in your local area, you’ll probably find yourself on this site at some point.
First, the browsing is actually quite good. You get to scroll through tons of ads from beautiful women, and every so often you even come across profiles that are too good to be true (spoiler: they usually are). It's got the classic feeling of Craigslist but cleaner. And come on, it's kind of fun just to browse the ads, check out pics, and fantasize what might be.
But here's the catch: actually meeting someone? Not so simple.
I contacted a ton of women, and most of the time I got nothing or some vague, flirty reply that led nowhere. Sometimes I even made it far enough to make plans for a date, only to have them ghost, ask for something fishy, or just poof out of existence. I'm not trying to say you can't find a person on DoubleList, but gosh. it's just a lot of effort for small reward.
Then, in frustration, I decided to try something else. That's when I stumbled upon W4M Maps—and what a change.
This app actually matches you up with real women who are interested in meeting. The highlight? No more back-and-forth with messages that never amount to anything. You can view who's around, send a message, and if there's a match, you can actually make plans immediately.
I'm not joking, two hours into the site and I met someone. We went out and had a beverage, had a good time, and things went a hell of a lot better with me than DoubleList ever did.
But if you just want to fantasize and just surf, then DoubleList is fine. But for actual encounter purposes, use W4M Maps.
Just my two cents. Hope that helps some of you guys out!
